OBX with the Adams

We left the house around 6am this morning and after sitting in this......

we finally arrived around 1:45pm.  We had a quick lunch with Memaw and Pepaw before heading to the house to unpack. The kids were so excited they immediately ran in and changed into their bathing suits.  We got in the pool to burn off some energy...after all, we did have 7.5 hours of energy bottled up!!  Samuel packed his daddy's old Lego boat to see if it could still float.  After all,  it is 35+ years old with a few chipped pieces!  I am happy to say.....it still floats and even carried a few of Sam's Lego men around!   

he also brought part of his own ship to play with.

After we finished swimming we came in to rest for a while....it wasn't too long before they were begging me to take them to the beach.  I agreed, as long as they promised not to get in the water!
