Just a few things we did today while the boys were at football practice.....

made friendship bracelets!
She also lost her very first tooth!

Happy 12th Birthday, Isabelle

Despite being saddened by the loss of Butler yesterday, we still celebrated Isabelle and Butler's birthday today!
(Abby, Blackley, Isabelle and Samuel)

Saturday, May 12

Butler Georgia Cochran 5/13/2000-5/12/2012

It's a sad day for the Cockariddle's, as we had to say goodbye to our beloved pet, Butler!
He would have been 12 years old tomorrow.

So much has happened within the last 24 hours!  Mom took Butler and Blackley for their usual grooming appointments yesterday.  She received a call from the groomers later that afternoon letting her know that they felt Butler needed to be seen by a vet.  He just wasn't himself and was having bad diarrhea.  Mom and Tom took him and within 10 minutes our sweet Butler was diagnosed with late stage Lymphoma---his lymph nodes were the size of golf balls.  When we went to see him, he didn't look like himself in his eyes and he had no energy at all, just wasn't our Butler. We all knew he was ready to go to "Doggie" Heaven.  I choose to believe he's up there right now with Pye Pye in heaven driving her crazy by pushing her arm up and down for her to pet him!! XOXO

Let the season Begin!!!

Wouldn't you know, both kids had 9am games this morning.  They were both very excited and nervous.  As Samuel was getting in the car he whispered "mommy, I have butterflies in my stomach."

Playing Outfield
 Running for the ball
Hmmm, I've got the ball now what should I do???
 Throw it, Abby!
Good Job, Sweetie!  Daddy will work with you on how to throw a ball. :-)
At bat...
Look how far she hit the ball!
 Run, Abby, Run....
Big Smiles after her first hit!
After the game she said "my legs were shaking when I was getting ready to hit the ball" Awww, she's growing up too fast!  Luckily, her games only last about an hour so we were able to see half of Sam's game today.

Birthday Party with Friends

We had Samuel's "friend" birthday party today.  He invited 5 boys
(Quinn, Ethan, Dylan, Bryce and Griffin) to the movies to see
"The Lorax" at 1:30pm.  Unfortunately, Samuel was not feeling well,
but we decided not to cancel since we felt it was allergies.
Grandma'ma, Papa and Olivia also joined us.

After the movie, we headed back to our house for cake and ice cream.

XOXO

Abby and I have enjoyed decorating for V-day this month.  We made most of our decorations from things we had laying around the house which makes it even more exciting!

Rash & Stitches

On Monday, I took Abigail to the pediatrician for them to take a look at the strange rash that we noticed on Friday.  The rash is mainly on her elbows and knees with a few bumps on her face and hands. (Samuel told her she looked like a teenager with bumps on her face, LOL)  The pediatrician took one look and said it's probably from a viral infection that she had a week or two ago, only she hasn't been sick!  The doctor suggested we see a dermatologist if it did not go away over the next few days.
Which brings us to today!  When Abby came downstairs this morning her elbows looked terrible and she had new places on her face and hands.  I called the pediatrician and they made her an appointment with a dermatologist at 10:40.
The dermatologist came in took one look and said she was stumped, BUT that she was going to get to the bottom of this and would like to take a biopsy of the area.  This meant Abby would leave there with 2 little stitches in her arm.  It will take about 2 weeks to get the test results.  Ugh!
Abby was so brave during the procedure, no tears when they numbed her arm and stitched her up.  When we left the office she wanted to call everyone to tell them she had stitches! I think she thought it was pretty neat!  LOL
Samuel's comment about the stitches--"Mommy, I don't like the fact that I am the only one in our family who hasn't had stitches. I feel left out!"  Poor kid!  Don't you feel so sorry for him! LOL

We ended up getting a second opinion from my sisters dermatologist later in the afternoon.  He took one look and said he thought it was eczema and prescribed an ointment.  We should have the biopsy report back in 2 weeks.

Teacher Workday

What a nice surprise it was to discover the kids have a teacher workday today.  I hadn't put it on the calendar since it said "movable holiday" just in case something changed so I was thoroughly surprised when S and A came home saying "we don't have school on Monday!"
Our day began with a quick trip to the pediatricians.  Abby has a mysterious rash on her elbows, knees, hands and face.  The doctor thinks it's viral and not contagious so we will keep an eye on it this week.
From the doctors office we met friends at Rebounderz, an indoor trampoline arena.  The kids had so much fun!
After jumping and playing games we headed over to Chick-fil-a for a late lunch.  Yum!
