Happy Mother's Day

Havalynn, Jual & Chrissy

Today was a very special day for us. Our family walked in the breast cancer walk in honor of my friend Jual, who was just recently diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer called Inflammatory breast cancer. Jual has two young children ages 1 & almost 3 and is currently pregnant with her third. Please keep her in your prayers as she battles this terrible disease.
After we finished the walk today, we spent the day at home relaxing.

We actually celebrated Mother's day a day early because we had the walk in the morning and daddy had an exam to study for. So on Saturday, daddy & Sam cooked me steak, lobster and asparagus for dinner- Mommy's favorite! For Mother's day, Samuel gave me a "blue croc" jibit for my shoes so that when I look down at my left foot I can think of him. How sweet is that? I am one proud mom, that's for sure! Abigail is just as sweet as ever, too! How did I ever get so lucky to have two adorable, fun loving kids?

Happy Mother's Day!!!

Swamp Rats

What the heck are swamp rats and where in the world did you hear this? Apparently, this past Tuesday, Samuel's class was walking down the hallway and they passed his old classroom...Everyone was saying "Hi Samuel," his response was "hey, you swamp rats." Luckily, Ms. Elaine and Ms. Alisha have a good sense of humor and found it funny. Each day you crack us up Sammy. We never know what's going to come out of that little mouth of yours.
Love you,
Mommy

Ear Tubes- May 8th

Abby got ear tubes today due to back-to-back ear infections! She was a trooper. The procedure took about 10 minutes. The nurse took her back around 7:40am and I was called back around 8am. As they were taking me back I could hear one unhappy camper crying as I walked down the hallway.
We got home around 8:30am both daddy and Samuel were happy to see us. Abigail slept a lot but overall she's a fantastic patient as long as mommy's close by to hold her when she gets upset.
We have a follow-up appointment in two weeks.

Oh Samuel...

Today when I picked you up from school, I asked your teacher how your day was..This was her response, "Well, Samuel kept trying to kiss and hug all the girls today" Mr. Sam, you are only 4 years old...what are we going to do with you when you become a teenager!
Oh and when I dropped you off this morning a sweet and very innocent looking little girl came up to me and said, "Samuel's mommy, Samuel keeps calling me box head."
I think we have a little joker on our hands.
