Almost 5 years

(Abby 20 months & Samuel almost 5yrs)
Its hard to believe that I have a FIVE YEAR OLD now. Five seems so "real" to me. Five is when he starts Kindergarten and will ride a bus to school. Five seems so grown up all of a sudden. I can't believe its been FIVE years, since he was born. Wow. I never thought one human being could ask as many questions as Samuel does on a daily basis. The boy is curious and interested in everything. I wouldn't have it any other way. Here are some facts about Samuel as he begins his journey as a 5 year old.
He wants to be a Redskins football player when he grows up
His favorite color is Red (it changed from blue around 4.5 yrs)
His foot measures 12.5 & he is in size 5/6 clothes
He's righthanded
Loves Superheros, Star Wars, Knights/Castles
He loves to draw

Wanna see what I got this weekend?

Prepare to see many video's courtesy of my new flip video! Hopefully, I can post some clips tomorrow. I am also officially part of the blackberry world and loving it! The Blackberry Pearl is just too cute. I'm having a lot of fun with my new toys!!!:-)

The Lipstick Bandit Has Returned!

Remember the statement in my last entry when I found Samuel and Abby on the couch quietly playing together? Well, now you know why I was surprised to see them innocently laying on the couch.

We were getting ready for swimming this morning (running late as usual) and this is what Abby looked like as she rounded the corner from my bathroom! I guess she wanted to look pretty for Samuel's swim class!!!
Note to self: Quiet child = TroubleCHEEEEEESE!

Girls Night

This is what you get when 5 crafty women get together on a Friday night!
My girlfriends and I have decided to start a craft night once a month. Basically, it's just an excuse for us to get together and catch up over a glass of wine. ;-) Steph was nice enough to teach us how to make these adorable topiaries.

How sweet....

How sweet is this? I went looking for the kids the other day because we all know what it means when children are quiet. What a nice surprise it was to find them on the couch together being innocent!

Scrapbowl 2008

This weekend I attended Get Croppin's Scrapbowl http://www.getcroppin.com/ at the Dulles Expo Center. I met several girlfriends there along with my sister. Ansleigh & I took 3 classes together, 2 were taught by the one and only Donna Downey...love her!! I had been looking forward to this event for some time now, and I have to say that it exceeded all expectations. We had so much fun! Looking forward to going again in 2009!!!

Bathtime Fun!

These two were having way too much fun in the bath tonight! Samuel would splash and then of course little sis would copy followed by laughter from both. I normally don't let them soak the floor like they did but tonight was an exception. They must have played and laughed for a solid 45 minutes.
I'll get you back one of these days big brother!

Mikey's Hockey Game

On Saturday, we went to Mikey's hockey game. We really enjoyed watching him play. Now Samuel wants to learn how to skate like cousin Mikey.

Then we came back to our house, and I'm happy to report that Tom got his butt kicked for the first time in Wii bowling! As a matter of fact Mikey won every game! :-)

Ski Liberty!

This was our first weekend away from Abigail and I'm happy to say that we all survived and had a great time. We had 16 people, 10 adults & 6 kids, 5 hotel rooms-in a row, beer, wine, cheetos, wii, dvd player...what more could you ask for!

Playing "Duck, Duck, Goose" in the hallway.
We signed the kids up for a ski class Saturday afternoon and they all did a great job. When I asked Samuel how he liked his class he responded "it was fun, I want to ride on the ski lift now" so after a few practice runs we took him on the ski lift. With no fear, he took off down the mountain. He has already asked if we can go back for his birthday!

Sunday we went tubing. Of course, our little dare devil, wanted to go alone but Tom and I talked him into going down with us for his first run. We had a blast!
Here's Dan taking the kids down together.

"Papa, NO..NO!"

Friday night I dropped Abigail off at my parent's house for her first official weekend sleepover!

Before I left, we were sitting at the table waiting for Papa to arrive at home from work. He walked in and immediately dimmed the kitchen lights. Well, Miss Abigail jumped up ran over to the light switch and said "Papa, no no!" and tried to re-adjust them. Papa looked at her and said "what did you just say to me?" and she repeated "Papa, no, no!" I guess she's gotten in trouble one too many times for adjusting the lights. After that I knew she was going to keep them straight while we were away!
