Baltimore: Day 4

Port Discovery:  We took the kids to the children's museum today.  What a great way to spend the afternoon!  The place was practically empty so the kids had a blast climbing the huge tower that's in the center of the facility.  They also had fun in the diner where they pretended to cook and serve us...what a hoot!  I don't foresee Samuel ever being a waiter....unless you like your food being dumped in your lap or on the table!  The boys loved the Egyptian adventure section, however the little ones were a bit skeptical.  Abby and Jake had fun in the water section cleaning windows!
This evening we saw a Wild, Wacky,Wonderful side of Baltimore at the American Visionary Art Museum.  This was such a neat place, everywhere you turned you would see an interesting piece of art......here are just a few that come to mind--5-foot diameter Bra Ball, 38-foot wide Bird's Nest observation balcony, Art Bus, Pink Poodle, Robot Family, etc.

The girls danced...
John Waters, who is best known for his film Hairspray was there performing.  Even though we were told it was an abbreviated version of his one-man show, I took the kids out halfway through.  Most of what he was saying they didn't understand, but still! ;)
Abigail was so excited when I told her a special cake was going to be presented tonight.  Duff Goldman of Charm City Cakes was there.  The bakery became popular on the Food Network show Ace of Cakes.
